Design City – Building an Innovation Ecosystem

              International symposium

              Wednesday 18–Thursday 19 March 2020
              The Pier Geelong

              Event details

How design can be used to transform cities into innovation ecosystems

A two-day symposium, hosted by Deakin University and the City of Greater Geelong – Australia’s only designated UNESCO City of Design – will explore novel ways of using design and creativity to sustainably develop cities into innovation ecosystems.

It will focus on the three key participants required to create innovation ecosystems: businesses, government (local, state and federal) and research and education institutions.

Presentations and panel discussions featuring international design experts and leaders from a range of organisations will help shape the changing roles of these key innovation ecosystem participants.

The Design City Symposium is part of Geelong Design week. For more information about the speakers, program and register, visit the symposium website.
