              Academic documents

When you graduate you receive three academic documents: an academic transcript, testamur (or award certificate) and your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS).

If you happen to lose your documents or want a digital version to share with employers, we can help.

              Types of documents

              Academic transcript

This is your official record of study at Deakin. It lists your course, units, majors and specialisations, grades, dates of study and any honours. Prospective employers may use it to verify your qualifications.

              Testamur

A testamur (or certificate) is the award certificate and official document that confirms the conferral of your course and includes your majors and specialisations, distinction and honours, if awarded.

A replacement hardcopy testamur will only be issued once the completed replacement testamur form (PDF, 222KB) has been sent to the Graduations Office.

Unfortunately we can't replace testamurs from institutions that are no longer part of Deakin, such as the State College of Victoria (Geelong and Warrnambool), Institute of Advanced Education (IAE) or Victoria College (Burwood, Toorak and Clayton).

              AHEGS

Your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) includes your award, full academic results (including failures and late withdrawals), prizes, internships and information about Deakin and Australia’s higher education system. The AHEGS helps international audiences understand your qualifications.

AHEGS are only available for courses conferred from late 2010 onwards. AHEGS for awards completed prior to late 2010 are not available.

              Statement of Results

Your Statement of Results (or evidence of enrolment) is an unofficial record of your results. It's free and current students can access one through StudentConnect. If you no longer have access to StudentConnect please contact Student Central.

A Statement of Results is not available for antecedent institutions of Deakin University, such as the Gordon Institute of Technology, State College of Victoria (Geelong/Warrnambool), IAE and Victoria College (Burwood/Toorak/Clayton).

              Digital documents

You can access digital versions of your academic documents through the My eQuals portal, a secure online platform trusted by 45 of Australia and New Zealand’s 47 universities.

My eQuals allows you to access your documents anytime, from anywhere in the world. With My eQuals, you can rest assured knowing your important documents are safely stored online and protected using banking-level security.

My eQuals also streamlines the process of sharing your academic documents with others. Instead of having to scan documents or send your originals, you can simply share digital versions with employers or agencies using a hyperlink (URL).

How do I order my digital documents?

              1. Order your documents through the online order form.
              2. You’ll receive an email from My eQuals within 2 business days confirming that your document is available.
              3. If you already have a My eQuals account you can log in and view the document.
              4. If this is your first time receiving Deakin documents via My eQuals, follow the link in your email to set up your account and verify your email address.

              How much does it cost?

If you graduated from October 2018 onwards, you will be automatically provided with a free digital copy of your academic transcript, testamur and AHEGS on the My eQuals portal.

If you graduated prior to October 2018, you can purchase a digital copy of your academic transcript for a one-off cost.
